Liquid cooler idle temps. Sometimes it has exceeded 60 degrees Celsius and caused iCue to throw up warnings. I'm not sure what will temps be like while heavy gaming,or even OC and high gaming? Could you tell me what temps should I realistically expect with that cooler set on max? Nov 15, 2021 路 In almost all (gaming) cases though, liquid temps rise to around 40 C pretty easily, and on the more demanding games (Cyberpunk) can peak at 45 C (that's the max I've seen). The max liquid temperature is likely around 60C btw, but ideally you stick under 40 or so. It cools fairly rapidly after the load is stopped and it idles around 35C, with the liquid at 21C. I haven't measured temps directly yet, but my GPU temps max out at 53°C under load. However, temps seem to stay almost at 50° in the BIOS and well over 70° in idle on the OS. Am I doing something wrong? I got an nzxt z53 aio, liquid temperature usually sits around 40-44Celsius when idle. My case is an NZXT h710i with the rad/aio at the top with 3x 120mm fans as exhaust, 140mm exhaust at the rear, and 3x 120mm as an intake at the front, all fans were replaced with Noctua fans. Now with the liquid cooler, the idle temps are pretty high, 50-60 but when playing games it stays about the same only rarely going over 60. the liquid temperature goes at a maximum 54Celsius. I am using rather conservative fan speeds (800-1000RPM). 0ghz all core and vcore set to 1290 in bios LLC 6 MCE off Room is not air-conditioned if that matters. Are my liquid cooler idle temps something to be worried about? I've been doing some cleaning to my system and realised my cpu temps are sitting kinda high at around 60° idle in the UEFI bios. Another check against that is setting your pump to maximum at idle. But if I do some heavy task load, especially when graphic card's fans spinning up. That's why you'll see high temps What’s your cpu temp on idle and gaming using an aio cooler lian li galahad 2 lcd 360? sitting on 7800x3d I’m currently using an Nzxt kraken 360 non elite version. So I wanna ask, is my cpu temp normal? Specs: CPU: i7-3770 Water Cooler: NZXT Kraken X31 It would be nice to know which cooler you had. So under heat soak conditions I'm assuming my water temp is mid 40s. The room I'm in has an ambient of around 21-22C and my liquid temps sit around 24C at idle and normally peak at 28C on full load. I have a liquid cooling with Mo-Ra 420, the CPU load temperatures are perfect, but I can't understand why the idle temperatures are so "high" Both IOD Hotspot and CPU tdie are around 43/44 degrees without doing anything at all, I have no processes in the background. As long as liquid temperature remains below 60C, the cooler will remain healthy and permeation will be minimized. Generally, for desktop CPUs using stock coolers, an idle temperature between 30°C and 50°C is considered acceptable. Also idle temps do not matter much, what are your load temps. Sep 18, 2020 路 I'm really worried that does temps are too high for idle with liquid cooler set on max. Which is why everyone parrots the same temp numbers but some have significantly quicker chips (10%) because their cooling is better. the liquid temperature is around 25 degrees. Your CPU cooler is too weak. I'm currently running the fans in quiet mode around 600-700RPM as balanced mode is too loud on the iC I'm new with liquid CPU coolers, but I wasn't expecting this kind of temperature. The liquid temps on the Kraken never exceed 24C under load, with the CPU running at 80C. Hey guys, I just installed a Corsair H60 2013 edition on my I5 3570k. With my 3080 blowing hot ass air into the case, my cooler has to blow that hot air through the rad and that causes my coolant to hit temps around 36c-38c at a 2300RPM fan speed, at that point my PC is an actual jet plane. Load temperature depends on the actual load, but usually 10-15C higher than ambient. Load/gaming temps with the air cooler were mid 70s with occasional spikes into the mid 80s. Is it possible the high temperature is caused by these two bend pins? As for the pump and fans, well my arctic 420 runs fine from my CPU header, the cooler is made that way and will not hurt the CPU fan header my cooler runs with the fans pushing air through the rad from the bottom, so they exhaust air, I've finally got my first custom loop up and running and I dont actually know what an acceptable temperature is for the water. Is this a huge problem? Anything I could have done wrong? My A couple of things to bear in mind, the best program to check your temperature is ryzen master, most other hardware monitoring programs stop the cpu from idling properly and keep the cores awake by polling for a temperature readout, as you can see in your video the cores are all at 3600mhz so they aren't properly idle. In some testing, NZXT Kraken X62 coolant temperature remains close to 30-35C even when under the intense heat load of an overclocked i7-7740X. Idle temps are about 48 degrees c And peak temps easily cross 89 c hitting tbe thermal limit resulting in my cpu thermal throttling. Oct 12, 2023 路 Idle Temperature: Under liquid cooling, CPUs typically run at idle temperatures between 25°C to 35°C. Load Temperature: Under heavy load, such as gaming or rendering, the CPU should generally stay within the range of 50°C to 70°C. Depending on ambient room temperature the idle is sometimes 28-30c but on warmer days it idles at 30-35c. Are the temps I shown during idle actually I have tried both NZXT X72 and ASUS RYUJIN 360 AIO cooler, but idle temperature cpu still stays at very high, while the liquid temperature stays at around 33 degrees. I went into my Bios and the idle temperature showed to be at 39 or 40 degrees C. What are the normal AIO liquid temps for a Kraken Elite RGB 360? Here's a look at expected temperatures. Is this normal? Ambient temperature in my room is about 78-79F. This has reduced to an average of 60c with the AIO! Hello everyone, So 2 days ago I decided to buy a liquidcooler for my Ryzen 1600 to replace the stock cooler. The problem is with the CPU behavior at idle. Changed that to a custom loop with see through reservoir and cpu block, no problem ever since. With all that said, your temps are fine. 9C temp occurred just for a moment just after I opened the app but was already cooled before the app started the loop. open-loop water cooling (if done correctly) LN2 cooling For most consumers, medium-sized CPU air cooler is more than enough. Thank you Usually, my water temp is below 35c if my ambient temp is about 20c or lower. I'd say 50 scares me so I'm sailing as close to the wind as I dare, this is a build geared towards silence though. My question comes in as my liquid temps for my AIO pump are pretty low whether at idle or load. On warm days (23-25c), it is more like 38-40c. I have a 120 mm AIO that is cooling a i7-11700KF. The problem is, i have very high idle temperatures, around 55-60 degrees Celsius. An air cooler is going to blow hot air into the case, heating up all components within the case. (because my case design makes all of the hot air must be exhaust through the What are your idle temperatures for liquid coolers? I just bought a kraken z63, paired it with a 3800x in a H510i case and I get 55-65 degrees in idle. All the fans are quiet and only speed up when the PC/CPU is working hard. Hey, I just finished my build and my idle water temps seem higher than I expected I'm getting 32c water temperature in a 23c room, 5950x and 3090 doing absolutely nothing except run the monitoring program. Room temp - 28 degrees Celsius Idle temps: Pump/cooler - 35-40 degrees CPU - 39 degrees I run my 13600k at optimised power levels, so things were getting spicy with conventional air cooling. Hi Guys! I have an Intel Core i7 9700k without any overclocking on a Gigabyte Z370 gaming x cooled by a Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120R. Explore Watercooling (r/watercooling) community on Pholder | See more posts from r/watercooling community like In my O11 XL I have a 5900x and a X570-E Gaming motherboard. I already changed the thermal compound but still got the same result. The CPU is back down to 46C. The stock cooler is adequate but you would see better temperatures with a better cooler like the Peerless Assassin. Dec 5, 2022 路 A partial restricted cpu block or other flow issue won’t care about the door and its elevated temp is because the liquid is lingering in the block for too long. Hello! So I just started watercooling my cpu with a closed liquid cooling and this is my first time liquid cooling and after I booted up I checked The temps and the temps would always go from 38C to 49C. While gaming the coolant temp hits around 48c and CPU hits around 70c. My full system specs are at the bottom. For high-end CPUs or overclocked systems, especially those using liquid cooling, it might be lower. Is this the standard quality for nzxt? I'd love to hear your thoughts and temps 馃榿 I've recently installed a liquid cooling loop into my pc to replace my previous air cooling unit for my cpu. My 7700x with a NH-D15 keeps between 60-80c in heavy gaming at constant 30% fan speed. Are these numbers right? My friend has cooler temps with air cooling. I had the experience of the liquid inside my cooler slowly drying up (both h50i and h100i) so the liquid was only barely enough to circulate inside the pump head instead of going through the radiator. I had a be quiet! Dark Rock 4 Pro, the temps of my CPU were like 35-45°C idle and almost 100°C at full load on Prime95, blend and custom(in-place). At idle it usually sits around 35-40 C. I am using CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML240L V2 RGB AiO from previous build and i read that it will be fine with that CPU. For CPU OC'ers, big-sized CPU air cooler is enough. 12c is a really well optimized system (<1200rpm). This should make absolutely no difference in a working system. While rendering in Vegas pro, I'm getting around a maximum of 85 So i got a question. At that time, the idle temp is about 45°C. I have a Liquid cooler Aorus 360 with Ryzen 9 3900XT Idle temp was 50-60 Is this normal or I messed up with I install the cooler and need to put a better thermal paste perhaps? My room temp should be around 15-25 because of AC My Mobo temps is 18C My RTX 3090 asus rog strix is 35c Ryzen 9 I finally picked up a temp sensor for my water cooling loop and wanted to know if anyone had a fan curve chart for fan speed to liquid temp. (The liquid cooler is the Masterliquid ml240l RGB) I installed it in my Masterbox lite 5 RGB as follows: I put the radiator to the front of the case, then in between there is the iron The temperatures present on the liquid freezer 3 is absolutely ludicrous and poses an issue for cpu performance and thermal throttling. : r/watercooling Go to watercooling r/watercooling r/watercooling MembersOnline • CloneJediXI So I have a H80i V2 cpu cooler. On most CPUs that will put you into the 90s as soon as the CPU is loaded. I adjusted my fan curve so that its not a jet plane, but now my coolant temps are at 44c-46c. Idle is 53-55 and when gaming 65-75 Planning to buy lian li galahad 2 lcd 360 for aesthetic. I checked some reviews and it says the H60 should be cooling my CPU at 30 C idle. The red 90. Since liquid temp is also minimum CPU temp, 50C H100i temp means 50C CPU temp with zero volts. I can feel water moving inside the tubes and when it was first installed, you could hear the bubbles working their way through the unit. I’m cooling a Ryzen 7 5800X with Corsair XTM50 thermal paste and three Noctua Industrial PPC 2000RPM fans. The air temp exiting the radiator peaked at 87F, and was at 84F after 3 minutes of idling. If your pump is plugged to CPU Fan then check the CPU Fan sensor in bios or HWinfo. Just doesn't seem right to exhaust all your hot air through a radiator, that'll just heat your coolant up causing poor temps all around. Some extra information: I once dropped my cpu on the carpet and bend two pins, but I managed to fixed it. Liquid temp 40~42 Idle temp lowest 41~55+ I've overclocked my i9 10900k to 5. After switching to the AIO and this new case, the cooling performance has been incredible. I have been experiencing high temperature values for the cpu, which is quite frightening. A X570-E EKWB mono block is installed and i have been getting very high temps (40C idle, 74C on max load). What are common mistakes when installing the liquid cooler? For my setup: CPU: Ryzen 5 7500F Mobo: Gigabyte B650M Hi guys hope you can help me out with this , My Cpu Temps are crazy its not stable in IDLE Temp itself Min 40 Temp - Max 60 Temp, on load 70 Temp im worried about the CPU Temps with liquid cooler, i think my Case has enough air flow and fans. This article delves into the normal CPU temperature ranges achievable with liquid cooling systems, factors influencing these temperatures, advantages and disadvantages of liquid cooling, and tips for maintaining ideal thermal conditions. an AIO water cooler will transport the heat energy through the water pipe, and out of the case, without heating the air inside the case. while gaming, at 50-60% CPU utilization I'm getting 45-60c. I am currently sitting in the BIOS screen and my Liquid Temp has been around 32C and my CPU is about 37-38C and motherboard temp is 34C. Cooling my system (see sig) is an EK D5 PWM pump, Black Ice 360 GTS, Black Ice 360 GTR (I think, its the 60mm thick multi port one) with Corsair ML120's on both rads. Jan 24, 2025 路 Idle Temperatures: When your CPU is idle or performing minimal tasks, a temperature between 30°C to 40°C (86°F to 104°F) is typically normal for liquid cooling. Is that safe for long term usage? Posted October 7, 2020 The cooler is working. Hi, I am getting very high liquid cooling pump temps on my h100i (brand new machine). Now the issue I have isn’t with cpu temps or anything else component wise, my issue is with the actual coolant inside of the pump. Are these normal? I have seen a lot of posts on here that… My idle is basically whatever the ambient temperature is (at most 2-3C higher). With the liquid cooling, I'm seeing temperatures around 45-50C at idle and 65C under stress (running cinebench) Hi, I am noticing on idle the coolant temp being around 40-42c with the CPU temps sitting at 48-50c, which seems quite high. The issue I’m worried about The CPU temperature now idles around 28°C and the water cooler temperature idles around 22 °C. Anything better from that, including open loop, is mainly for showing off. The 32C liquid temp is the lowest possible CPU temp if the voltage was zero. I used the Ryzen 5 3600x stock cooler and I used to get a stable 55c at idle, and now water-cooled, I'm getting 55c max. Most people will see their cores dance 5-10C above that line at relaxed idle with the minimal possible voltage and you do see the low end of that. I upgraded to a Water cooler, a Z73 Kraken. ~15c delta is normal for quiet fan operation (<1200rpm fan speed) for a 2-3x 360 high tdp system (>600w avg under load) with at least good case airflow. I just need a starting point to play around with. But I wanted your opinion. I have set power plan in windows to balance, minimum state power 5%. I am watching to see if that temp continues to cool. And LN2 is for record breaking. Just speaking from experience as I had to put a 3000rpm noctua in the top rear fan spot to exhaust enough air and keep the temps inside of my case down. Now im getting idle temps anywhere about 32-40°C but still have got full load temps Hello, Recently i rebuild my PC and now i have Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU. Thinking there These Temps seem a bit high for a water cooling set up. 60c is still well within a safe range. Your reported results above are exactly as expected and many users will see a higher coolant temp during gaming than when running a pure CPU stress test. When i was playing today, I have an 7800X3D on a ASUS Prime X670E-Pro with a front mounted NZXT Kraken 280 AIO cooler. I have just finished building my new machine, I am running i9-10900k with NZXT Kraken Z73. i thought that was odd since I remember in my old ryzen 1600 with the stock cooler would it at around 34-45° idle , 55-59° on a AIO shouldnt be correct. Hello, I installed my new In Win MR36 liquid cooler recently, however something seems to be wrong as I get idle CPU temps of 45-48 degrees Celsius, which is a bit too high imo. With my previous air cooler, I was seeing idle temperatures around 35C.
